What Is Ozone?
Ozone, or 03, is an activated form of oxygen. Oxygen contains two oxygen molecules, whereas ozone contains three molecules of oxygen. You know that clean smell that’s in the air after a thunderstorm? What you’re smelling is ozone gas, which is created when UV rays from the sun combine with oxygen in the atmosphere.
Ozone purifies and detoxifies the air we breathe, and is a powerful disinfectant used to treat public water systems and swimming pools. It is also widely used in holistic dentistry and medical environments because of its ability to kill pathogenic micro-organisms due to its anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial properties. It’s easy to see why ozonated olive oil is so useful for the skin.
Because of ozone’s ability to purify the air, many people use ozonated air filters in their homes. In fact, I use one in my bedroom every night. What Is Ozonated Olive Oil?
Ozonated olive oil takes the beneficial properties of olive oil, and supercharges them by infusing the oil with ozone. This process turns the liquid oil into a solid paste, making it convenient to use on the skin. Apply it the same way you would other skin creams or salves.
Ozonated olive oil is great for preventing and reducing wrinkles, and is an all-around wonderful moisturizer. It’s also anti-fungal so is effective in treating fungal conditions, such as athlete’s foot, candida, and tinea versicolor. It is a superior remedy for acne due to its anti-bacterial properties, and calms the burning and itching of eczema and psoriasis.
To top it off, ozonated olive oil decreases facial swelling and puffiness, eliminating lactic acid and toxins from the pores. This helps reduce those awful under-eye bags and circles. Also a powerful cleanser, it releases bacteria and dirt that has been trapped in the pores, and many people swear by ozonated olive oil’s effectiveness in treating cellulite and stretch marks.

Ozonated olive oil is a potent free radical scavenger. Free radicals, from environmental pollution, cigarette smoke, and toxins, damage the skin’s DNA, leading to accelerated aging, age spots, and saggy skin. Free radical damage will make you look older than you are because they break down collagen, leading to all the visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles, an uneven complexion, loss of elasticity, and loose skin.

Has anyone had success using ozonated olive oil on small actinic keratosis?
Seems like it might be a less toxic way as opposed to chemicals used by dermatologist.
